Law of conservation of energy

According to law of conservation of energy total energy of the universe is conserved. The energy cannot be created nor be destroyed. It can simply be converted from one form to another.

Let us consider the following examples in which one form of energy converts to another.

  • A cell or battery converts chemical energy into electric energy.
  • A microphone converts sound energy into electric energy.
  • A loud speaker converts electric energy into sound energy.
  • An electric motor converts mechanical energy into electric energy.
  • A generator converts mechanical energy into electric energy.
  • An electric heater converts electric energy into heat energy.
  • An electric buzzer converts electric energy into sound energy.
  • An electric bulb or tube light converts electric energy into light energy.
  • A steam or any electric heater converts electric energy into heat energy.
  • In photosynthesis plants converts solar energy into chemical energy.
  • Coal or wood converts chemical energy into heat energy.
  • An atomic power plant converts nuclear energy into electric energy.
  • A nuclear bomb converts nuclear energy into heat, light and sound energy.
